Rev. James E Graeser, Sr.

Rev. James E. Graeser, Sr. age 83, of Upper Sandusky died on March 23, 2016 at 3:55 am. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late John J. and Evelyn W. (Otto) Graeser. He married Jacquelyn L. (Clum) Graeser on August 16, 1959 and she survives in Upper Sandusky. Rev. Graeser is survived by two daughters, Jill (Dave) Seitz, Findlay, Joy (Bob) Longfellow, Westerville, and a son Rev. James E. Graeser Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, six grandchildren Emily Seitz, Aaron Seitz, Adam Seitz, Matthew Longfellow, Amber Nyberg, Ashley (Andy) Jacobson, three great grandchildren Lexi, Alden, Ajay Jacobson, sister Evelyn Schaff, Pittsburgh, PA and brother Raymond Graeser, Pittsburgh, PA. Rev. Graeser graduated from South Hills High School in Mt. Washington, Capital University, and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He served churches and ministries with the people of Faith Lutheran Church, Memphis, TN, Good Hope and St. Paul Lutheran Churches, Glenford, OH, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Westerville, OH, Christ the King Lutheran Church, Youngstown, OH, Bethany and North Salem Lutheran Churches, Upper Sandusky, as well as serving as interim pastor in other area churches. After retirement he became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. For hobbies he enjoyed music, reading, model trains and just spending time with family. Rev. Graeser was grateful to God for the privilege of serving the church in many different settings and growing with the people in faith and life. He was grateful for his wife who labored with him through the years and to his family for sharing in these ministries. A funeral service will be held Saturday March 26, 2016 at 10:30am in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky with Pastor Joe Trester officiating. Burial will follow in North Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday March 25, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
