ROBERT REA LESLIE a man of integrity, worthy of love and respect passed on Mar 19, 2014 in Clearwater, Florida. His family celebrates a life well lived as a gentleman, a role model, a thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on a farm in Upper Sandusky, Ohio in 1916 he farmed and cared for his family and also served in the United States Navy in WW II. He was respected for his drive to seek knowledge and always be learning. Self educated beyond the boundaries of his formal schooling he eventually invested in a long-term career at Nationwide Insurance from which he retired after 35 years. His integrity, leadership, and skill at seeking harmony made him an asset as Assistant Secretary, Director of Corporate Services. He will always be a part of a loving family that includes his wife Wilma (deceased), his children, Cheryl Leslie Kinsey, Richard Leslie, and Roger Leslie and wife, Sally Leslie. His grandchildren include Laura Kinsey (deceased), Scott Kinsey and wife Lynn, Katy Leslie, Megan Leslie, and Emily Leslie. Noah, Duncan, and Alice Kinsey are his great grandchildren. Mr. Leslie is survived by his brother James (Dorothy) Leslie of Upper Sandusky. He is preceded in death by a sister Letta Smith and a brother Bert Leslie. A member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a 32 degree Mason in the Scottish Rite, he was proud of his heritage and the contribution his genealogical family made to the United States. One of his favorite quotes from an essay On Youth “In the central place of every heart, there is a recording chamber: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, and courage, you are young” A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Sat Mar 29, 2014 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Schaaf officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Visitation will be held from 9-11:00AM Sat Mar 29, 2014 at the funeral home.
