Donald M. Miller

Donald M. Miller, age 74 of Findlay died on Friday March 30, 2012 at 6:25 p.m. in the Advanced Specialty Hospital of Toledo. He was born Dec. 1, 1937 in Tymochtee Twp. Wyandot County to Chalres E. and Edith M (Yambert) Miller. They both preceded him in death. He married Rachel E. Feeley on Aug. 22, 1963 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 2006. Mr. Miller has two brothers surviving Denny (Karen) Miller, Tiffin; OH, Ned (Diane) Miller, Portland; OR, a sister Cheryl (Dean) Strausbaugh, Tiffin; OH, and many nieces and nephews, special friends Bill & Becky Stahl, Findlay; OH, and Sharon Lutes, Tiffin; OH, Mr. Miller graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1955 and attended Ohio State University for a year. He retired from Whirlpool Corp in 1994 where he had worked in Clyde, Marion and Findlay. He was a judge for Horse, Pony, Mule, Donkeys and Draft Horse shows. He and his late wife Rachel traveled throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan judging horse and mule shows at state and county fairs. Mr. Miller enjoyed breeding and raising Halflinger horses, going to mule & donkey shows, and antique tractor shows and pulls. He collected toy tractors and enjoyed sharing stories with neighbors and friends. Don was a member of the Northern Ohio Draft Pony Assoc., Mid State Mule and Donkey Assoc., Ohio and National Halflinger Assoc. He was a former Hancock Co. 4-H Advisor for the Lucky Horseshoe club, and was a former member of the Wy. Co. Sheriff Dept. Mount Pose. A funeral service will be held Thursday April 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hensen officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky. Visitation will be held on Wed. April 4, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
