Doris M. Schoenberger

Doris M. Schoenberger, age 86, formerly of County Highway 96 Salem Twp. Upper Sandusky, and more recently of the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center died at 1:35 p.m. Thurs. Feb. 28, 2008 in the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Dec. 31, 1921 in Wyandot County to Harvey D. Lawrence and Catherine (Vent) Lawrence. They both preceded in her death. She married Ivan S. Schoenberger on Aug. 12, 1941 in Upper Sandusky and he died on March 26, 1993. Surviving are two sons William H. Schoenberger, Upper Sandusky, Daniel I. (Terri) Schoenberger, Dublin, two daughters Mrs. T. Dwain (Marilyn K.) Sayre, McCutchenville and Mrs. Michael (Barbara S.) Reinhard, Wharton; six grandchildren: Doyle Schoenberger, Columbus, Dawn Patterson, Carey, DeAnn Higgins, Mt. Pleasant, MI, Dia Kay Seifert, Carey, Lynette Pagnard, Upper Sandusky, Michelle McLaughlin, Nevada; ten great grandchildren; one brother Mr. Carl (Etta) Lawrence, Palm Harbor, FL, one brother-in-law Mr. John D. (Emily) Schoenberger, Upper Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Vickie Lynn Sayre, three sisters Mary Estep, Grace Park, and Laura Belle Walberry. Doris graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1939. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. Doris enjoyed sewing, making patchwork quilts for Red Cross victims, Church World Service, family and friends. She was a life long flower and vegetable gardener. Doris loved spending time with family and friends. Doris was a 70 year member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Upper Sandusky. She was also a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women's Guild. She was a member of the former Salem Grange, Epsilon Mothers Club, and a former 4-H advisor for the Salem Hi-Lighters. A funeral service will be held on Mon. March 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity United Church of Christ, Upper Sandusky with Pastor Brad McKibben officiating. Burial will be in the Schoenberger Cemetery, Salem Twp. Wyandot County. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday March 2, 2008 in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
