G. Earl Kinley

G. Earl Kinley age 88 of Upper Sandusky, died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Tuesday Aug. 16, 2022. He was born Sept. 26, 1933 in Upper Sandusky to the late Harman and Roma (Karcher) Kinley. He married Jane E. Rall on Aug. 4, 1956, she preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 2019. Surviving are his children Daniel Kinley, Columbus, Theresa (Scott) Gillfillan, Mt.Victory, David Kinley, Upper Sandusky, Angela (Larry) Franz, Swanton, Patricia “Honey” (Jeff) Willson, Nevada, Patrick Kinley, Upper Sandusky, Rebecca (Steve) Howard, Upper Sandusky, Thomas Kinley, Carey, a daughter-in-law Kristy Kinley, Buckeye Lake, 30 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, siblings Rosemary Austin, Upper Sandusky, Helen (Roger) Mawer, Harpster, Sharon (Charles) McCarthy, Upper Sandusky, Robert Kinley, Kenosha, WI, Ann Dillion, Tavares, FL, Kathy Kinley, Upper Sandusky, sister in laws Rosella Rall, Sally Rall and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Kinley. Earl graduated from Upper Sandusky High School. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1951-1955 aboard two aircrafts carriers on the USS Kearsarge CVA 33 and USS Phillipine Sea CVA 47. He was a member of the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church. Earl was a 4th degree member of the K of C #2050, and a member of the American Legion Post #225, AmVets #777. He was a farmer until retirement with the help of his wife and children. In 2005 he retired from Uni- Grip as a truck driver. Earl was an avid Upper Sandusky Ram fan. He enjoyed following his grandchildren in their activities. Earl’s family brought him great joy and he will be greatly missed because he was deeply loved. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 10:30am in the Tansfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery with full military graveside services being conducted by Upper Sandusky Veterans. Visitation will be on Sunday August 21, 2022 from 1pm-5pm at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Knights of Columbus #2050, St. Peter Catholic School or Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
