George A. Head

George A. Head, age 75, of North Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, died on Thurs. Oct. 25, 2007 at 1:45PM at his residence. He was born on July 4, 1932 in Asheville NC to William H. Head and Maude E. (Willis) Head. They are both deceased. He married Caroline L. Begue on Dec. 16, 1961 in Hinsdale, IL. and she survives in Upper Sandusky. Mr. Head has one surviving son George A. Head Jr., (Deb Frye) Findlay, three daughters, Elizabeth A. (Rick) Benson, Marion, Mary I. (Joseph) Williams, Mrytle Beach, SC, and Linda S. (Matt) Green, Fostoria, seven grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Emily Smith, Aaron Lenhart, Tori Green, Zander Green, Owen Green and Kailey Williams. He was preceded in death by brother William H. Head II. George was of Episcopal Faith but he attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky. Mr. Head graduated from Leeh Edwards High School, Asheville, NC. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with an Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1954. He recieved his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Standford in 1960. He was President for Ruttmann Construction and then became the owner and operator of San-Con Inc., Upper Sandusky. Mr. Head retired in 1995 from his construction business. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts in North Carolina, Elks Lodge BPOE #83, Upper Sandusky. He was a member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity Epsilon-Phi Zeta and Tau Beta Pi. George was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed going to the beach, the outdoors, floral and vegetable gardening. He also enjoyed his dogs. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tues. Oct. 30, 2007 at 10:30am in Bringman-Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Seibert officiating. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Visitation will be on Mon. Oct. 29, 2007 at 2-4PM, 6-8PM.
