Janet Elizabeth Wagner, age 92 formerly of Upper Sandusky died Sat Mar 30, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Bluffton. She was born Mar 5, 1921 to the late Fred W. & Cleo (Bardon) Moser. She married Austin Wagner on April 7, 1946 and he died June 21, 1991. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her 4 daughters, Janice (Robert) Weatherby, Hilliard, Christine (Nathan) McNeal, Kimbolton, Jane (Alan) Shumaker, Upper Sandusky, Joan (Bill) Deter, Bluffton, 6 sons, Robert (Christine) Wagner, Upper Sandusky, John Wagner, Upper Sandusky, Fred (Barbara) Wagner, Pensacola, FL, Ted Wagner, Upper Sandusky, James ( Rita) Wagner, Upper Sandusky, Phillip (Tracy) Wagner, Nevada, 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Moser and Miriam Worth. She graduated from USHS in 1939. She attended Tiffin Business School for one year. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She had worked for the ASC office in Upper Sandusky. During WWII she worked at Wright Patterson Air Force base as a civilian employee. She also raised chickens and sold eggs. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Harpster United Methodist Church, actively involved with the United Methodist Women holding various offices and served on the church finance committee. She was a member of Harpster Mothers Club, Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild, Wyandot County Farm Bureau, and she was a former Salem Grange member. Mrs. Wagner enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was an OSU sports fan and enjoyed listening to football and basketball on the radio. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 8, 2013 in the Harpster United Methodist Church with Rev Soohea Park officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
