God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped him in his Loving arms and whispered “Come with me.” He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend. He faced his pain with courage, until the very end. He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain, God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain. We will miss you! Love your family Jimmie R. Eaves age 59 of Upper Sandusky died at his residence surrounded by his family on Friday Feb. 3, 2012 at 6:50 p.m. He was born on March 16, 1952 in Lake Charles; LA to John David Eaves and Elberta (Fusilier) Eaves. He married Christine A. Hare on Sept. 12, 1973 in Almeda; CA in the navy base chapel and she survives in Upper Sandusky. Jimmie is survived by a daughter Robin (Johnny) Hamill, Bandera; TX, a son Jason Eaves his fiancée April Hammonds, Mobile; AL, two grandchildren Ashleigh and Jared Hamill, Bandera; TX, a brother Joseph Tracey (Janice) Eaves, Le Blanc; LA, sisters Debbie (Alan) Scalia, Le Blanc; LA, Lisa Gayle Eaves, Niceville; FL, a half brother Allen Dale “Butch” Eaves of TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daniel D. Eaves. Mr. Eaves graduated from Wasilla High School in 1970 in Alaska. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Eaves enlisted in the United States Navy as a Seabee. Jimmie retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief steel worker. He worked for a boat dealership in the parts department in Bay Saint Louis, MS for nine years. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, traveling throughout the United States and Abroad, riding his bike, golfing, and wood carving. Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dog Augie. He took great pride in working on his home and yard. A funeral service will be held Monday Feb. 6, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in Bringman Clark Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-5 p.m. in the funeral home.
