Kail D. Trachsel

Kail D. Trachsel age 90 of St. Rt. 182 Nevada and more recently of Fairhaven Health Care Community died on Tues. June 3, 2008 at 2:25a.m. in Fairhaven Health Care Community. He was born on Oct. 7, 1917 in Upper Sandusky to Delmar Earl Trachsel and Hattie Sarah (Welker) Trachsel. They are both deceased. Kail married Eva R. Doss on Aug. 31, 1947 in Upper Sandusky and she died on April 8, 2007. Mr. Trachsel has four surviving daughters John (Robbe) Williams, Upper Sandusky, OH, John (Sue) Riedel, Hudson, OH, Stephen (Pam) Smith, Upper Sandusky, OH, Charles (Jill) Dake, Columbus, OH, eight grandchildren Reagan, Jennifer, Candice, Amanda, Stephanie, Lindsay, Eli, Kaitlyn, ten great grandchildren, Kameron, Chase, Lily, Callan, Sophia, Georgia, Kelby, Faye, Eva, Lucy, special niece Barbara Yingling and special nephew Mike Pfeifer. He is preceded in death by five sisters Loraine Quail,Gwyneth Armstrong, Romaine Pfeifer, Eleanor Ruffner, Velma White and two brothers Ray and Loyal Trachsel. Mr. Trachsel graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1936. Kail retired from Pittsburg Plate Glass in Crestline after 23 years. He was also a retired lifelong farmer in Eden Township. Mr. Trachsel was an active member of the Nevada Lutheran Church where he served on council and was part of the dart ball league. He was an United States Army Veteran serving overseas during WWII. Kail was a life member and past commander of the VFW Post #2842. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #225. His hobbies included gardening. Most of all Kail enjoyed going to his grandchildren and great grandchildren ball games. A funeral service will be held Friday June 6, 2008 at 10:00a.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in the Old Mission Cemetery with Full Military Graveside Rites conducted by local veterans organizations. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 5, 2008 4:00-7:00p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
