Luella A. Chadwick

Luella A. Chadwick, age 104 of Upper Sandusky went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:15 p.m. Thurs. Nov. 8, 2012 in the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 25, 1908 in Wyandot Co. to the late John Henry and Arminda “Minnie” (Jarvis) Hannum. She was married to Ronald Glenn Stansberry who preceded her in death in 1954, then she married Wellington Chadwick who died in 1976. Surviving is a daughter Joan Foltz, Arlington, sons Richard “Dick” (Linda Kay) Stansberry, Gamaliel, AR, John Stansberry, Silver Springs, FL, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother Raymond Hannum and a sister Emma Maxine Hannum. Mrs. Chadwick was a 1927 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. She and her late husband Ronald owned and operated the Stansberry Meat Market. Part of her life she worked at the former Artz Department Store. She then graduated from Marion General School of Nurses Training with a LPN degree. She worked as a LPN at the former Bartholomew Nursing Home (Cozy Rest) and Fairhaven. She also owned and operated the former Colonial Manor, Harpster. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and OES #366 where she was a Past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Chadwick enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, traveling and playing cards. She collected pig figurines and at one time had a live pet pig. She was Cleveland Indians Fan. Funeral services will be Tues. Nov. 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Schaaf officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Mon. Nov. 12, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. and Tues. from 10:00 a.m until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hospice of Wyandot Co., or Wyandot Co.
