Margaret T Welly

Margaret T. Welly, age 95 of Upper Sandusky died at her residence surrounded by her family on Wed. April 3, 2013 at 1:35 pm. She was born on May 15, 1917 in Carey, OH to Charles and Rose Mary (Fox) Collet. Margaret married Harold B. Welly on Aug. 26, 1941 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1979. Mrs. Welly is survived by her children Rosemary (Leo) Smalley, Wharton, Joan (Ron) Moening, Forest, Jim (Diane) Welly, Upper Sandusky, Barbara (Dick) Grasz, Upper Sandusky, Patricia (Dale) Rosebrough, Upper Sandusky, Susanne (Joseph) Brodman, Carey, Regina (Scott) Spiegel, Upper Sandusky, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren, 2 sisters Dorothy Frankart and Louise (Florian) Podach both of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Eugene, Clarence and Walter who died in infancy. Mrs. Welly was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mary’s Chapel in Kirby where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Welly served on the former St. Mary’s Rosary Alter Society where she held many offices and was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was devoted to her faith and was a dedicated matriarchy to her family. Margaret was also a member of the 60 and Holding Club, Bingo Group and the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, baking and watching the birds. In her early years she was a member of the Harpster Travel Club and enjoyed traveling with her husband. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. April 6, 2013 at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Chapel, Kirby with Father J.R. Hadnagy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Kirby. Visitation will be on Friday April 5, 2013 from 3:00-8:00pm in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30pm and a CLC Service at 8:00pm.
