Marlene J. Clinger, age 76 of Forest died at Marion General Hospital in the emergency room on Friday Feb. 4, 2011 at 3:12 a.m. She was born on Feb. 1, 1935 in Marion County to the late Irvin O. Roszman and Doris E. (James) Roszman. She married Robert K. Clinger on April 3, 1960 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1996. She has 4 children surviving Steven (Cecelia) Clinger, Ambridge, PA, Keena Clinger, Reynoldsburg, OH, Krista ( Kevin) Oliver, Forest, OH, Scott (Sarah) Clinger, Upper Sandusky, OH, 7 grandchildren Jeff Hyre, Coral Fitsko, Aaron Hyre, Kaci Wolf, Crystal Oliver, Zac Clinger, Michelle Oliver, 5 great grandchildren Joseph, Cameryn, Sean, Kyle Hyre, Reagan Fitsko, and sister Carol (Richard) Lessig, Marion, OH. She was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Roszman. Mrs. Clinger graduated from Pleasant High School in 1953. She was a former EMT for Wyandot County E.M.S. having been in the first class of EMT’s. In 1974 she was one of three women to be elected to the Wyandot County Fair Board. Mrs. Clinger was the first women secretary for the Wyandot County Fair Board in 1983 and she retired in 2001. She was a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church. Mrs. Clinger belonged to the Tymochtee Grange and Marseilles Mothers Club. Her hobbies included watching birds and putting puzzles together. She enjoyed watching the cooking channel; game shows especially Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Let’s Make A Deal and was an avid OSU Men’s Basketball fan. Most importantly Mrs. Clinger cherished her family. A funeral service will be held on Wed. Feb. 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Snyder officiating. Burial will take place in the Jackson Center Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tues. Feb. 8, 2011 from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home.
