Michael Joseph Kinley

Michael Joseph “Strutter” Kinley age 53 of Sycamore passed away with his family by his side on Friday January 6, 2012 at 8:09 p.m. at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born on July 1, 1958 to Earl and Jane (Rall) Kinley and they survive in Upper Sandusky. He married Kristy Collins on March 25, 1995 in St. Peter Catholic Church and she survives in Sycamore. Mike is survived by three daughters, Casey (Justin) Cramer, Delaware, Whitney Tschanen, Katelynn Kinley, both of Sycamore; four brothers Daniel Kinley, Columbus; David Kinley, Patrick (Sheila) Kinley, Thomas Kinley, all of Upper Sandusky; four sisters Theresa (Scott) Gillfillan, Mt. Victory; Angela (Larry) Franz, Junction City, KY; Patricia “Honey” Kitzler, Rebecca (Steve) Howard both of Upper Sandusky, God children Kandice Collins, Anna Niederkohr, Dalton Kinley, Trent Howard, Eli Kinley, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Mike graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1976 and was employed at UniGrip as a truck driver. He previously worked for Vaughn Industries, M-Tek, Guardian Industries and Farmers Commission Company. He was a member and former parish council president of the St. Pius Catholic Church in Sycamore and also attended Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church. Mike was a member of the K of C Council #2050 and 4th degree Knight Archbishop Schrembs Assembly in Tiffin, OH and a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #83. Mike enjoyed dancing, playing golf and corn hole, watching basketball, football and hockey games and taking care of his lawn and golden retriever Max. He was an avid James Dean, OSU and Indians fan and collected OSU bobble heads, Kinley Dairy milk bottles and specialty lighthouses. Mike also enjoyed family vacations to the Outer Banks and his memorable 50th birthday trip out West. Mike will be remembered for his humor, classic catch phrases, playing the air drums and always being there for his family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January. 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church concelebrated by Father J. R. Hadnagy O. F. M. Conv. Burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place Tuesday. January 10, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with a Biblical Wake service at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Mohawk Athletic Boosters, St. Pius Catholic Church, St. Peter Catholic School or the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
