Robert A. McDaniel

Robert Andrew McDaniel age 29, was fun loving, always smiling, never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He died suddenly of an illness Tues., Apr. 12, 2016 at 3:31 am. in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Robby was born Jan. 10, 1987 at Riverside to Ronald C. and Rebecca D. (Elwood) McDaniel. He was welcome by older brother Ronald Johnathon (Lindsey Jensen) and later joined by sisters Rachael (Cory) Buckingham and Renee along with brother Ryan. His nephews Gabe and Kellen were special and he enjoyed saying I'm Uncle Robby. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Edith (Born) Elwood He graduated from Whetstone High School, Columbus in 2008. For many years he worked at ARC Industries with his friends and was part of the “can do players” performing group that visited many retirement home and special needs facilities. Robby loved to dance and perform, he played basketball, baseball, was a Cub and Boy Scout, enjoyed reading, roller coasters, swimming, the Zoo, camping, traveling, beaches, WWE, movies and was a Wii champion. He was involved in Special Olympics. Robby attended North Broadway UMC for many years where he was a worship greeter, who smiled, gave hugs, and complements of “you're handsome” or “your prettyful” to many. Robby was not “special needs” he was a “special person” to all he met or who crossed his path. He put smiles on the faces of all by what he could do, verses his challenges. Grandparents Arthur C. and Esther G. (Suter) McDaniel and Charles Elwood Sr. welcomed Robby upon his passing. The family encourages scarlet and grey apparel for the funeral on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 10:30am at CLARK SHIELDS Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Sholis officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton Richland Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday April 15, 2016 from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Robert A.
