Ronald A. Miller

Ronald A. Miller, age 72 of Nevada died at his residence at 10:15 p.m. Sunday Feb. 27, 2011. He was born on Feb. 2, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Helen (Krowbath) Miller. On Sept. 10, 1969 he married Geraldine Walsh in Pittsburgh, PA and she survives in Nevada. Also surviving are children Karen (Jeff) Brugler, Upper Sandusky, Robert (Kim) Miller, Nevada, Christine Hessler, Nevada, John (Amber) Miller, Delaware, James (Misty) Miller, Galion, grandchildren Michael Vogel, Breanna Vogel, Lacey Brugler, Ethan Miller, Morgan Miller, Samantha Haycox, Alex Miller, Casey Miller, Seth Miller, Mason Miller, a brother Carl Baumgardner, Sacramento, CA and a sister Lorraine Knight, Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen Miller and a sister Helen McAdams. Mr. Miller was a US Army Veteran serving as a Sgt. in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, after serving his country he went on to OSU Marion where he received his associate degree in drafting Engineering. He had been employed at Ritter Engineering, Marion Power Shovel, UAP, Fairfied and M J Engineering. Mr. Miller retired from V & P Hydraulic Products, Delaware. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Elks Lodge BPOE # 83, Upper Sandusky, former member of the Lions Club, Nevada and Knights of Columbus, Marion. Mr. Miller played in the Elks Golf League. He coached youth baseball in Nevada and was a 4-H advisor. Mr. Miller collected baseball cards and sports memorabilia. His hobbies included antiquing, making crafts and going to craft shows. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and OSU fan. Mr. Miller was a loving husband, father, grandfather & friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for being the Major of the Miller Farm. A funeral services will be held Thurs. Mar. 3, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Fr. Bob Dendinger officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wed. Mar. 2, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home. A scripture service will be held at 3:45 p.m. and an Elks Memorial service will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Wed.
