Russell E. Moore

Russell E. Moore, 89, of Maple St., Bucyrus, OH where he has resided for the past 32 years died at the Bucyrus Community Hospital, Bucyrus, OH at 1:25 PM on Saturday May 31, 2008. Born on July 5, 1918 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Clyde E. & Carrie B. (Connor) Moore. He married Bertha I. Tedrow Jan. 21, 1939 in PA and she died June 11, 1996. He is survived by 4 sons, Charles (Erlene) Moore, Lewisville, OH, Thomas (Kathy) Moore, Sulfur Springs, OH, Gary (Vickie) Moore, New Washington, OH, Russell Moore Jr., Galion, OH and 7 daughters, Mrs. Arleigh (Martha) Willy, New Freeport, PA, Mrs. Jerry (Barbara) Gerstenburger, Oceola, OH, Loretta Gibson, Carey, OH, Mrs. Frank (Shirley) Fox, Carey, OH, Mrs. Woody (Nancy) Brown, Carey, OH, Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Reinhart, Carey, OH, Mrs. Ron (Linda) McLaughlin, Carey, OH, and a Daughter-in-law, Desi Moore, Galion, OH. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth Snyder, Jefferson, PA, Pauline Seibert, East Liverpool, OH, 37 Grandchildren, 90 Great Grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, 20 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Donald Moore, a brother Ralph, two Grandchildren, two Great grandchildren, two Great Great grandchildren, one Great Great Great Grandchild and one Great Great Great Great Grandchild. Russell retired from Galion Peabody after 20 years of employment, he also had worked at Daybrook of Upper Sandusky and Swan Rubber of Bucyrus, OH. He was always a bargain hunter, Mr. fix-it and gardener, he enjoyed working on small motors and restoring antique tractors. He played many musical instruments, he raised horses and attended many harness horse races. He enjoyed watching nascar races, he was a hunter and gun collector. He had a love for Spike his pet dog, was proud driving his black pick-up truck and will always be remembered for teasing his grandchildren in a loving way. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:00PM at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Gene Ballard officiating with burial at the Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Friends may call at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home from 5-8:00PM on Tuesday June 3, 2008.
