Hershel Shepherd

Hershel Shepherd age 85 of Upper Sandusky passed away November 9, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born December 25, 1934 to the late Marson and Mero (King) Shepherd in Hazard, Kentucky. Hershel worked for the railroad and retired from J-LENCO in maintenance. He was a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. He enjoyed his daily trips to McDonalds, his Indian Motorcycle, flat track motorcycle racing, working on cars and playing his banjo. He is survived by his sisters Eva, Brenda and Jenny, along with brothers Ed and Bill. Hershel is leaving his children Randy (Gina) Shepherd, Tammy (Mike) Slone, Kenny Shepherd and stepson Jascon Gayheart along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hershel is preceded in death by his brother Dan Shepherd, Dave “Dunk” Shepherd and Arnold Shepherd. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
