Laura Mae Pickett, age 87 of Marseille,s died Sunday May 8, 2016 at 10:58am at her residence. She was born January 17, 1929 in Marion, OH to the late Harry and Nancy (Brooks) Dorfe. She married James Pickett Sr. on May 16, 1951 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1993. Mrs. Pickett is survived by her children James (Shirley) Pickett Jr., Marseilles, Tina (Jerry) Johnson, Salisbury, MD, Samuel Pickett, Forest, Nancy Radford, Marseilles, five grandchildren, Jerry Johnson, Eric Radford, Kirsten Pickett, Sydnee Pickett, Logan Hamilton, one great grandchildren and one sister Helen Russell, Marion. She was preceded in death by sisters Lillian Steele, Evelyn Hollenbach and brothers Harold Dorfe and Jack Dorfe Mrs. Pickett was owner/operator of Marseilles Service Station. She was a member of United Marseilles Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held Thursday May 12, 2016 at 10:30am in Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery, Marseilles. Friends may call on Wednesday May 11, 2016 from 4pm-7pm in the funeral home.
