Leah Jean Wolfe

July 20, 1919 - May 16, 2020

Leah Jean Wolfe age 100 of Upper Sandusky, died at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday May 16, 2020 at 7:05pm. She was born on July 20, 1919 in Upper Sandusky to Arthur and Rae (Case) Walton. She married Donald E. Wolfe on March 24, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2002. Surviving is a daughter Norita A. Huston of Carey, son David D. Wolfe of Upper Sandusky, four grandchildren Patty Thomas, Richard Huston, Kevin Wolfe, Gary Wolfe, ten great grandchildren Kayla Radabaugh, Kelsie Gillespie, Katie Thomas, Grant Huston, Maddie Huston, Heidi Wolfe, Kendall Wolfe, Michaela Wolfe, Carter Wolfe, Cale Wolfe, great great grandchildren Leah Jean Radabaugh and Kerwin Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law Joanne Wolfe, son in law Dale Huston, brothers Herbert Walton, Richard Walton and sister Betty Jane Liles. Leah Jean graduated from Upper Sandusky High School class of 1937. She was a sales clerk for Producers Livestock for 32 years. Leah Jean was a homemaker and assisted on the family farm where she raised and showed Corrideale Registered Sheep. Mrs. Wolfe was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ for over 80 years. She was secretary for Sunday school, served on the Consistory Board, and a member of the Women's Guild. At the age of 100 she was still mowing her yard which she enjoyed along with her other hobbies sewing, quilting, crocheting and gardening. She is known and loved for many reasons but we must not forget the famous noodles. A private funeral will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2020 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel United Church of Christ, Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or Wyandot County Hospice in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
