Donna L. Grafmiller

Donna L. Grafmiller, age 88 formerly of S. 8th St. Upper Sandusky, died on Sun. Nov. 11, 2012 in Fairhaven Health Care Community. She was born on Jan. 8, 1924 in Wyandot Co. to the late Albert and Dora (Schoenberger) Shambaugh. On Oct. 11, 1942 she married James E. Grafmiller who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1995. She is survived by sons James E. (Deb Brown) Grafmiller Jr., John E. (Deb) Grafmiller, Richard A. (Sheryl) Grafmiller, Bruce L. (Gena) Grafmiller, all of Upper Sandusky; 8 grandchildren Frank Grafmiller, Jill Logsdon, David Grafmiller, Matt Grafmiller, Shannyn Swinehart, Todd Grafmiller, Ryan Grafmiller, Katie Grafmiller and 13 great grandchildren. Other family members include Dianne Grafmiller, a sister Betty (Weisenauer) Gottfried, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Chester, Marion and Dale Shambaugh. In 1941 she graduated from Upper Sandusky High School. Donna had worked for The Daily Chief Union, The Dairy Store and The Dairy Snack. She retired from Wyandot County Auditors Office after 35 years of employment. Mrs. Grafmiller was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of OES #366 where she had served as Star Points Esther and Electa. Donna was also a member of Wyandot Co. Ladies Shrine Club, Upper Sandusky Lioness Club, Red Hat Society, Rams Boosters and Buckeye Boosters. After WWII Donna had the privilege of accompanying her husband to annual army reunions throughout the United States, and maintaining lifelong friendships. Donna and Jim were avid Buckeye and Ram fans attending many (if not all) events. Together, they also shared their love of gardening and flowers. Most of all, she will be remembered as a caring, giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. A funeral service will be held on Sat., Nov. 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 128 N. Eighth St, Upper Sandusky with Pastor Joe Trester officiating. Burial will follow in Schoenberger Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri. Nov. 16, 2012 in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Sat. an hour before the service at the church.
