Earl J. Riedlinger

Earl J. Riedlinger, age 75 of Upper Sandusky died at Wyandot Memorial Hospital at 5:50 a.m. on Mon. Dec. 19, 2011. He was born Sept. 20, 1936 in Wyandot Co. to the late Andrew J. & Edith T. (Courtad) Riedlinger. He married Joan E. Faeth on June 28, 1958 and she survives along with their children Debra (Wayne) Mitchell, Bucyrus, Vicki (Dan) Koehler, Upper Sandusky, Steven (Joann) Riedlinger, Sycamore, Jackie (Richard ) Rogers, Mars, PA, Scott (Susan) Riedlinger, Reynoldsburg, Timothy (Shonna) Riedlinger, Columbus, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Dorothy (Earl) Albus, Carey, Clara “Mickey” (Kenny) Ekleberry, Sycamore, brothers Paul Riedlinger, Bucyrus, David (Irene) Riedlinger, Upper Sandusky and James (Eva Mae) Riedlinger, Upper Sandusky. He is preceded in death by a sister Mary Loveridge and 3 nephews. In 1955 he graduated from Upper Sandusky High School. He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Swan Rubber for 31 years, then had worked as a truck driver for Gibson Trucking, Brick Craft and Hyway Trucking. Mr. Riedlinger was a member of K of C #2050 and Wyandot Co. Antique Tractor Asso. He was a man of many hats, Mr. Fixit as a craftsman and mechanic, he saw value in everything. He enjoyed hunting especially with his Beagle, loved the annual family campout, playing cards, traveling to Amish country, making birdhouses, cutting firewood, watching the neighborhood farms progress, mostly providing a place called home for his family and he was very faithful to daily prayer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Fri. Dec. 23, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Rev. J.R. Hadnagy officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thurs. Dec. 22, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home. A Biblical Wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
