Jane L. Nance

Jane L. Nance age 86, of Upper Sandusky died on Sunday Sept. 16, 2012 at 9:40 p.m. in Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus. She was born on Aug. 30, 1926 in Columbus to the late Roy B. Hawthorne and Ardis N. Hensel. Jane married Paul B. Nance on Jan. 24, 1947 in Columbus and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2011. Mrs. Nance has three children surviving Terry L. (Connie) Nance, London; OH, Pamela T. Nance, Portland; OR, Paul A. “Oscar” Nance, Pleasantville, OH, seven grandchildren, Amy, Brandy, Barb, Mike Ben, Abby, Alli, seven great grandchildren, sister Judy (Richard) Mayhew, Westerville; OH. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Erin. Mrs. Nance was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church were she served on the prayer chain, church and funeral dinners, church Bazaars and was a member of the John Stewart United Methodist Women. Mrs. Nance was a homemaker and an excellent cook and baker. She was an avid golfer playing up to her 82nd birthday. She was a former member of Lincoln Hills Golf Course and the Hickory Grove Golf Course. Mrs. Nance enjoyed traveling with her late husband, especially the state of Vermont and spending several winters in Englewood, FL. She was a member of the Elks Emblem Club, Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild and Friends of the Upper Sandusky Library. For Hobbies she enjoyed reading books and the Columbus Dispatch. A funeral service will be held Sat. Sept. 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in John Stewart United Methodist Church, Upper Sandusky with Pastor Wayne Geissinger officiating. Burial will be held Mon. Sept. 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Friday Sept. 21, 2012 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
