Nicklaus L. Reier

Nicklaus L. Reier age 76 of Upper Sandusky, OH went home to be with the Lord on Friday June 19, 2009 at 6:10 p.m. He was born on April 17, 1933 in Spencerville, OH to LeRoy and Susan A. (Casperson) Reier. They both preceded him in death. He married Julia L. Marker on April 25, 1959 and she died on March 19, 1997 he then married Ruth Tiell-Malloy on Sept. 22, 1998 and she survives in Upper Sandusky. Mr. Reier has one son Tony (Ann) Reier, Celina, OH, three daughters Tami (Jack) Sives, Kodak, TN, Theresa Reier, Celina, OH, Tina Schuck, Naples, FL, 2 step sons, Jason Malloy, Cincinnati, OH, Patrick Malloy, Findlay, OH, two grandchildren Jamie & Jared Reier, 2 brothers George (Linda) Reier, Sidney, OH, Henry (Carol) Reier, Maria Stein, OH, 7 sisters Maxine (Herman) Thobe, Houston, OH, Betty (Richard "Pete") Partington, Sidney, OH, Barbara (Virgil)Frantz, Versailles, OH, Esther (Jack) Wells, Anna, OH, Florence (Mark)Boeckman, Buford, GA, Shirley (Dale) Meyer, New Bremen, OH, Helen (Carl)Magoto, Celina, OH. He was preceded in deathby sisters Nancy Werling, Ruth Schwenzer, and Martha & Dorothy who died in infancy. Mr. Reier attended St. Joseph, Salem, St. Peter, Upper Sandusky and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Reier retired from New Idea Farm Machinery in Coldwater after 32 years of service. Mr. Reier then worked part time at the Daily Chief Union Newspaper in transporatation and rural route carrier. He was a life member of the Eagles Lodge in St. Marys, and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Portland, IN and Amvets in Sidney. Mr. Reier enjoyed life especially being with all of his children, grandchildren, siblings and reunions. He loved to eat anything and was always the first in line. His hobbies included dancing, traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, TN, Renfro Valley, KY, Little Nashville, Brown Co,IN. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith reruns over and over again and wrestling. He also enjoyed going to county fairs and looking at antique tractors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wed. June 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, OH with Father Richard ReidelC.PP. S. officiating. Burial will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys, OH. Friends may call Mon. June 22, 2009 at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky from 2-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and Tues. June 23, 2009 2-7 p.m. at the W. H.
